1950s Alice Edwards Floral Cotton Shirtwaister Dress Rare_Jewellery The workmanship across this gownThis feminine, princess length shirt dress dates back to the mid 1950s and is one of the earliest designs we have even seen from this label. The whimsically printed cotton is quintessentially British with its nautical, pale blue and white stripes and pretty pink florals. The softly pleated, full skirt falls to below the knee from a nipped in waist and the dress has two side pockets. The neckline is square and the sleeves have sweet turned up cuffs.
